Crafted from the Ground Up

Everyone needs a passion project. The kind of work that makes you want to get out of bed in the morning. We at Barbed Wire jumped at the chance to make these wines, because we knew we’d get to do it our way. We talk to our favorite growers. We chase the best grapes. We punch down the caps in the fermentation tanks (and get pretty dirty doing it). We age the wine in oak, and taste from those barrels until the blend does the North Coast proud.

We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but when it comes to making wine we don’t mess around. In the end, the wine takes on a personality all its own. It’s a mix of each person—grape growers, winemakers—who contributes to the craft.
